Twin Imaging Technology preserves personal journals for Pulitzer Prize author, Herman Wouk
Herman Wouk, author of “The Caine Mutiny,” “The Winds of War, “ and “War and Remembrance,” has kept a personal diary since the 1930s. On September 10th, 2008, Mr. Wouk will formally present the Library of Congress with his journals, now numbering over 90 volumes, in a ceremony which will honor him with the first Library of Congress Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Writing of Fiction.
All agreed it would be the perfect occasion to donate the journals. The only problem was that Mr. Wouk often refers to them to check dates and facts in his writing, and was hesitant to let the originals out of his personal possession. A solution was arrived at, and Twin Imaging was selected to scan the entire set of volumes into high resolution .TIFF images and multi-page PDF files.
Needless to say, the staff at Twin imaging is honored to be part of such an important preservation project.

Twin Imaging Technology provides ViaSat with portable scanners and document back-file conversion services.
ViaSat, Inc., located in Carlsbad, California, is in the process of transforming their hard copy based purchasing processes to more efficient paperless processes. ViaSat's first step was providing their purchasing personnel with Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners. The ScanSnaps' small foot print and low price point made it the clear choice for ViaSat. Twin Imaging is a Valued Added Reseller for Fujitsu scanner products and we were able to provide the needed scanners quickly through our distribution partners. Additionally, ViaSat needed to convert their older and active hardcopy purchasing document to a digital format. Twin Imaging was able to provide the necessary back-file conversion services. Currently, Twin Imaging has the ability to scan directly into our customers SharePoint servers. We are exploring this option for future projects with ViaSat.
